To Incoming Freshmen

Our department trains professionals in accounting and information technology. Anyone interested in the practice and scholarship of accounting and information technology (especially the integration of the two) is welcome to join us to learn and grow together!

When the economy is weak and unemployment is high, an extra skill is like an extra pair of wings. Tomorrow's society needs people who combine expertise across fields, and job-bank surveys show that integrated expertise in management and technology is where future demand is heading.

Accountants, have you noticed that source documents have gone from paper to digital, and that workflows have moved from manual processing to computers? Stronger computer skills open up unlimited possibilities, so you need not worry that what you learn will be obsolete in three to five years.

Accounting is the language of business, and learning it is the first step toward understanding and acquiring management ability. Information technology is a powerful tool for creating business value, and understanding it keeps you current. Combining expertise in accounting and information technology will give you an outstanding competitive edge in your career and a future without limits.

To Incoming Freshmen

The Department of Accounting and Information Technology at National Chung Cheng University was the first at any national university in Taiwan to build its curriculum around training accounting professionals with dual expertise ("Double Skills") in accounting and information technology. Look at where Europe and the United States are today, and think about your own future.

If you have a foundation in accounting (or IT) and an interest in IT (or accounting), the Department of Accounting and Information Technology at National Chung Cheng University is your best choice!
